Lecturers of Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah Higher Education Institution (PTMA) can add and modify the existing learning model to time development. Therefore, the curriculum development is not only following National Standard for Higher Education (SNPT), Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI), and Freedom to Learn-Independent Campus (MBKM) but also in line with Muhammadiyah Ideal. That was the statement from Prof. Edy Suandi Hamid when he opened the Curriculum Development of Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah Higher Education Institutions webinar (KPTMA) according to SNPT, KKNI, and MBKM, Thursday (18/02).
The Deputy Chair of Muhammadiyah Diktilitbang Council hoped this agenda could serve as a qualification to redesign the existing curriculum so that our education achievement is reliable to current human resource conditions as in the development of the knowledge and education needed by the community. “The curriculum should follow the development of time,” he asserted. Therefore, he continued, following the development of time can not circulate as it is, but also should be designed by the change that might occur.
Prof. Dr. Sutrisno, M.Ag., as one of the speakers, also explained the curriculum development of PTMA. It becomes Muhammadiyah typical because of the reflection of PTMA identities, Muhammadiyah Ideology, Islamic and Muhammadiyah Studies and many others. “Muhammadiyah ideology is a set of ideas, conceptions, views, ideas, values, beliefs and struggle strategies which becomes the foundation of Muhammadiyah,” said the Member of Muhammadiyah Diktilitbang Council. The UIN Sunan Kalijaga Professor also asserted that education is not limited to producing ready-to-work people. “But how the educational institutions can produce people who can leave a mark in history like Muslim scientists,” he said.
