The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of ITS PKU Muh Surakarta collaborated with the Office for Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control, and Family Planning (DP3APKB) of Surakarta to create the DP3APKB profile book in Surakarta. The data presentation and submission of copyright certificates for the DP3APKB Surakarta profile book took place in A Building on Friday (03/03). Also attending on this occasion, among others the Rector, Vice Rector, Dean, and Head of ITS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta.
In her opening remarks, Weni Hastuti, M. Kes., Ph.D., mentioned that ITS PKU Muh Surakarta always supports various activities related to health from the Surakarta Health Office, especially those related to stunting management. Furthermore, Dewi Marfuah, the Chairperson of LPPM, expressed her hope that there will be a follow-up to the results of the book to alleviate the women’s health, especially in toddlers. The Head of DP3AP2KB Surakarta, Purwanti, expressed her gratitude to ITS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta for contributing to compiling the profile book, which has now been published. She added that the data can be utilized for research and community service by ITS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta lecturers and researchers. “I hope ITS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta will take an active role in improving the health of the people of Surakarta,” she said.
Besides stunting prevention, Purwanti stated that they expected to continue cooperation in other fields. She hoped ITS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta would be involved in the success of the stunting prevention acceleration program. The target of Surakarta Government in 2024 is zero stunting, and to support this, ITS will be involved in a stunting prevention program in Surakarta by DP3AP2KB Surakarta because ITS PKU has professional human resources in the health sector.
