The Institute for Collaboration and International Affairs (LKUI) Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) facilitated an “Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards” (IISMA) socialization program conducted by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud). Several students in various universities in Indonesia attended the student internationalization program online on Tuesday (20/04).
The Vice-Rector III, Dr Rudianto MSi, delivered his speech in the socialization program. As reported on the UMSU official site, Rudianto mentioned the internationalized program appeal for the students. This affinity includes the experience to learn and adapt to the global community. “I expect the agenda can provide information about the prestigious program strategy and details,” said Rudianto.
The IISMA socialization program was invited Elvira F Tanjung, PhD, the Coordinator of Administration and Collaboration, in the Sub-Team Work of Indonesian Students International Mobility, Kemendikbud, and Kenrick, ST, the Coordinator of Communication, in the Sub-Team Work of Indonesian Students International Mobility, Kemendikbud. Moreover, Dr Eng Rachmat Sriwijaya, ST IPM ASEAN Eng, the Vice- Chairman of Sub-Team Work for Indonesian Students International Mobility, Kemendikbud, also attended the meeting. Rachmat Sriwijaya explained that the IISMA program would be conducted in one semester.
The foreign higher education institutions involved in the program are in 300 top universities in the world. Later, the student internationalization program would facilitate Indonesian students to acquire knowledge and skills, exchange ideas and culture, and build networking with colleagues, academicians, and communities in overseas higher education institutions. Moreover, the program also would benefit from completing students’ competence and study program in general.
