Six Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) students from Arabic Language and Literature, Islamic Studies Faculty (FAI), came in second place in the 4th Arabic Short Video Competition. It was held by the Islamic World Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and the Ministry of Education of Malaysia.
As reported from the official website of UAD on Wednesday (20/01), the competition has been followed by 80 teams with a total of 480 participants from 5 different countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Brunei Darussalam. “We made a short film entitled ‘Ar-Rajaa’u’ which means hope. We demonstrated the student’s tenacity to get what they dreamt about through the Arabic learning scholarship program,” Imanda, one of the UAD students team, said.
She continued, the theme portrayed the exciting fact of the education world. There are so many student motivations, especially in Indonesia, in participating in several events to improve their skill, insight and reach their dreams. “The competition not only brings us the trophy and certificate but also the improvement and progress,” Imanda concluded.
