Universitas Muhammadiyah Aceh (UNMUHA) conducted the proposal seminar for the 2022 research and community service grant in the Meeting Room 2nd Floor of Rectorate Bureau UNMUHA, Wednesday (20/04). The proposal seminar was organized by the Institute for Research, Publication, Community Service and Development (LP4M) UNMUHA. It was opened by Dr. Aslam Nur, MA, the Rector of UNMUHA, and accompanied by Vice Rector I, Dr. Fadhlullah, SH, MS, and various lecturers who passed the administrative selection.
This year, the research proposal of UNMUHA lecturers reached 77 proposals, comprising 46 research proposals and 31 community service proposals. It increased three times than previous research proposals in the year 2021. “It shows that the lecturers’ enthusiasm in conducting research and community service is elevating,” said Meutia Zahara, Ph.D., the Chairwoman of LP4M, Universitas Muhammadiyah Aceh.
Dr. H. Aslam Nur, MA, appreciated the UNMUHA lecturers’ achievements. He assumed the increase in research proposals was motivated by various supporting programs and activities to encourage research. “Various ongoing activities, including Independent Learning, Independent Campus (MBKM) program followed by students and lecturers, Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) program, Kampus Merdeka ambassador, Kampus Mengajar Batch 3, Independent Learning for All (MBUS) program of Indonesia Cyber Education (ICE) Institute, and many others,” he said.
The Rector expected that the lecturers would improve their competence in receiving research grants for both national and international levels. “The lecturers have to remember managing their functional position due to the research and community service requirement,” he said.
