Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) held the Appropriateness Verification and Visitation of Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM) online, Tuesday (27/4). The agenda was also attended by PKKM reviewers, Prof. Sutiman B. Sumitro, BSC, the Professor of Universitas Brawijaya; Nurul Sania, IKIP PGRI Pontianak lecturer; and Sulistio Budi Utomo, Ph.D, the Head of International Relation STIE Indonesia Surabaya.
The Appropriateness Verification and Visitation of PKKM, undoubtedly, should be understood about its implementation mechanism. Therefore, to understand the common perception, Prof. Sutiman B. Sumitro supported PKKM would run well. “Basically, to support PKKM to run well, the visitation should be conducted from the leaders of both in university and faculty, even in study programs. It was expected that the Kampus Merdeka Competition Program (PKKM) program would be agreeable, so that the program can be initiated and transformed to be the independent campus program”.
Moreover, the Kampus Merdeka Competition Program (PKKM) and Independent Campus program of UNIMUS could create an educational system that might bring the students to have the ability to learn in the first place to contribute to communities before they work and assist in the wider community. Hence, it also should develop the quality and relevance of curriculum in the learning programs.
