The Institute for Islamic Studies Muhammadiyah (IAIM) Sinjai held the training of Technological Science on Wednesday (06/04). The training was conducted by the Student Association for the Quran and Tafsir Studies Department (HIMPIAT). The department is involved in the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Communication in IAIM Sinjai. 

The speaker of the training was the Quran and Tafsir Studies Department alumnus named Andi Muhammad Ilham Septian, S.Ag. During his studies, Andi served as General Secretary of the Student Association for the Quran and Tafsir Studies Department from 2018 to 2019. He also served as General Secretary of Quran and Tafsir Studies Department Alumni and Young Da’i Council of Sinjai Regency. 

Asdir, the Coordinator of Communication Media and Public Relations of HIMPIAT, explained that the training aimed at improving HIMPIAT members’ knowledge. “In the future, Quran and Tafsir Studies Department students, besides learning Qur’an, also have competencies in technology,” he said, as reported on the IAIM Sinjai site. In line with Asdir, Achmad Arafat, the Chairman of HIMPIAT, expected that the training might serve as a medium to balance both Qur’anic studies and technological science. [] CHERD
