Institute of Technology and Business Muhammadiyah Purbalingga (ITBM Purbalingga) was officially established in Purbalingga after receiving a Ministerial Decree of Indonesia’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 318/E/O/2021. The ITBM Purbalingga establishment was a hard-work result of academic civitas and Muhammadiyah Central Board support. “The total of private higher education institutions in Central Java is 239 institutions,” he said.
Prof Edy Suandi Hamid added the establishment of ITBM Purbalingga became the first private higher education institution and the first Muhammadiyah-‘Aisyiyah Higher Education Institution (MHEI) in Purbalingga. He also appreciated the incredible support of LLDIKTI Regional VI. “The rapid bureaucracy so that we, the Council, also appreciated and fully supported,” he said. Moreover, ITBM Purbalingga had worked hard with the support of Purbalingga government. ITBM Purbalingga opened quite promising and relatively rare study programs. “The study programs of Actuarial, Digital Business, and Urban and Regional Planning were the three programs which relatively rare in private universities, even in governmental universities,” he said. He hoped that these rare study programs could be capitalized and optimized better to be ready to compete in communities.
