Data in National Health Insurance (JKN) is enormous: 236 million participants, 320 thousand agencies, 650 thousand insurance fee access, 27 thousand healthcare facilities, 300 thousand health workers, and 30 strategic partnerships. From the overall data, BPJS has open-access data samples in public. It increases per year, in 2019, it reached 4,4 million; in 2020, it reached 9,4 million; and in 2021, it reached 28,1 million. The data derived from its services from 2015 to 2020 reached 41,9 million and has 17,3 million diabetes mellitus data.

The data sample from BPJS Health was expected to be used by MHEIs. BPJS encourages collaborative programs for academicians to acquire knowledge and information in elevating JKN operations, actualizing beneficial innovation, and building strategic partnerships. “Undoubtedly, it will consider data privacy and data protection. BPJS also provides publications for the research that uses BPJS Data Sample. We are widely open to cooperating with all parties,” he concluded.
