UM Metro PHP2D Team Held Local Tourism Training

The Holistic Village Development and Empowerment (PHP2D) team of Economics Science Student Association (HIMADIKMI) Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro held the management training for local tourism development and branding. The training was conducted in Rejomulyo village office hall, South Metro, Saturday (24/10). On this occasion, Dharma Setyawan, M.A, and Office International Affairs and Collaboration UM Metro, Bungsudi, SPd as a resource person and Vice-Dean III Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Syaifudin Latif D, M.Pd, village administrator, youth organization and Rejomulyo villagers.

Bungsudi explained branding played an important role in giving the identity between two different business units. “The branding provides the business identity of a product which influence consumers choice. So the branding would be a distinguishing character. Afterwards, the character which distinguishes Padas Grojok (tourist attraction), people would recognize in mind about Padas Grojok,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dharma explained the success of creating new innovations of a product, one of them, was to motivate all elements of the community to keep innovating. “One of the keys is to have mutual cooperation. We need people who has 7s, including patience, loyal, solid, smart, strong, and skill. Because all we need is effort and hard working,” he said. [] UM Metro / Diktilitbang
