Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (Unisa) Bandung demonstrates that they are capable of producing competent graduates after they succeed in receiving a competency assessment result for Professional Nurse Study Program IX. The result stood at 99 percent success rate as written in the Decree of National Committee for Public Health Competency Test Number 0798/KOM-Kes/VIII/2022, Monday (08/08).
The Dean of Faculty of Health Science (FIKes) Unisa Bandung, Popy Siti Aisyah, M.Kep mentioned that the National Competency Test is an evaluation process of the professional nurse graduates’ competencies organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud).
“The Public Health Competency Test (PPN) becomes an evaluation process of the professional nurse graduates’ competencies organized by Kemendikbud in collaboration with the Association of Professional Nurse Study Program. The evaluation was conducted to receive a competence certificate and registration marks for the nursing graduates,” she said.
Furthermore, the Head of Nursing and Professional Nurse Program, Nina Gartika, M.Kep explained that before the student followed the test, they were provided material deepening tests and tryouts. “Our achievement of producing competent professional nurses with a high pass percentage is related to the synergy between the faculty and study program in preparing students,” she said.
Unisa Bandung, which is a transformation from STIKes ‘Aisyiyah Bandung, is known as a Higher Education Institution that produces a lot of competent health workers. Frequently, Unisa Bandung has passed 100 percent in the competency assessment. “No wonder the graduates of Unisa Bandung have spread to various hospitals, clinics in Indonesia and abroad,” she added.
