The Doctoral Program (S-3) of Educational Science Universitas Muhammadiyah (Unismuh) Makassar has officially received an operational permit from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek), the Republic of Indonesia. Dr Andi Sukri Syamsuri, the Chief of Department Establishment Team of Doctoral Degree of Educational Science Unismuh Makassar mentioned the pillars of operational permit success from Unismuh’s hard work. “Similar to Bugis proverb, ‘resopa temmangingi Namalomo Nalletei Pammase Dewata’. Hard work, insya Allah, will receive blessing from God,” he said as reported in a statement, Wednesday (27/04).
It offers Islamic studies in Educational Science, socio-cultural roles, and Science, Engineering, Religion, and Mathematics (STEAM Studies). “In the behavior aspect, it offers sincerity, commitment to improving attitude, values, and Islamic character based on local wisdom and noble character to provide communities’ benefit. While in specific competencies, it will develop innovative, creative, and communicative learning processes that have Islamic character as in line with the rapid development of science and technology in the 21st century,” he said.
Dr Andi also appreciated Unismuh leaders’ support. “My gratitude to the Rector, the Daily Advisory Board, the Councilor for Professors, the Vices-Rector, the Deans, and all boards in the Postgraduate program of Unismuh Makassar. It is also supported by all academic civitas in Unismuh,” said the former of the Education Science department.
