Muhammad Samsudin, Deputy Secretary of the CHERD, said that currently there are 171 universities in Indonesia and 1 university in Malaysia. Of the 171 MHEIs, 122 campuses participated and joined SBMPTMu. In the SBMPTMu, the prospective students can choose 4 study programs from 200 total of choices of study programs provided. It is the sixth year and will continue to be developed and updated. “In the past, if you wanted to register for college, you had to come in person. However, not anymore. Just register once, you can choose four study programs. It is more effective,” he explained.

By the activity, the program can provide opportunities for high school, vocational school, and islamic high school students that are far more diverse and not focused on just one MHEI. “Don’t be afraid to continue your education in college even though it is far away. Today, millennials are able to study easily without problems of distance and time,” he explained.

Dr. Didik Suhardi, the Chairman of the Council for Primary and Secondary Education, who was also presented at the event, agreed that the activity can provide a lot of information for prospective students. The students can easily discover their respective interests and talents in 122 MHEIs spread across Indonesia. “I hope SBMPTMu will be a medium for the best Muhammadiyah cadres to be able to continue the successes that have been obtained by our great predecessors,” he concluded.

The activity entitled “One SBMPTMu for Indonesia” was also attended by three speakers, namely Mawardi as the SBMPTMu committee, Irianti Usman as a lecturer in the UM Bandung Psychology study program, Abdul Rozak as the Head of the Unisa Bandung International Trade study program, with different presentation topics. The 2023 SBMPTMu registration is divided into two batches. The first wave of registration has been opened since November 18, 2022 to May 12, 2023.
