Opening Ceremony of UMKU Community Service Activities

Universitas Muhammadiyah Kudus (UMKU) held an opening ceremony of Community Service Activities, Monday (27/09). It was located in Aisyiyah Kudus Orphanage, 1 Kudus-Jepara Street. The agenda involved several UMKU lecturers and students collaborating with ‘Aisyiyah and Nasyiatul Aisyiyah Branch Board of Kudus City with applying a strict health protocol.

The first schedule was a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing procession with the Chairwoman of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah Regional Board of Kudus, Aris Naini SPd, and the Chairwoman of ‘Aisyiyah Regional Board, HJ Khosifah SPdI. The themes of this activity comprised of “Pletekan (Ruellia tuberosa L.) leaves for antiseptic soap” and “The production of Parijoto (M. Speciosa) Lip Balm as a natural dye of Parijoto juice”. The agenda aimed to disseminate innovation and skill for collageus. It was expected that the members boost their finance. The Chairwoman of ‘Aisyiyah Orphanage, Hj Zahroh Chasanah, SAg, explained that it could be a future provision for the orphans, especially the specific targets of the agenda.

“The community engagement activities can be conducted by the 5th Batch of Muhammadiyah Research Grant in 2021,” Noor Hidayah SKep, MKep as the Vice-Rector of Academic Divison. She delivered the remarks representing the Rector of UMKU, as reported on the official UMKU site.

The following schedule was a procedure video display of the antiseptic soap production. The Committee displayed Parijoto Lip Balm (LIPJar) presentation video and distributed the product sample of LIPJar. Yayuk Mundriyastutik ST, MT, and Indah Puspitasari SSiT, MKeb as the Chiefs of Organizing Committee reviewed the procedure videos. Both of them expected that the activity would continuously run smoothly in approximately three months ahead. The agenda was closed by the prayer guided by Sri Utami SPdI and continued by the picture taking of all participants.
