Universitas Muhammadiyah Maluku Utara (UMMU) attended Office of International Affairs (KUI) Training at Institut Teknologi Surabaya as it is ready to cooperate closely with 7 countries. The Head of KUI UMMU, Faujia Umasugi, S.Pd., M.Pd., B.I, followed the Training and Workshop on Strengthening the Office of International Affairs (PPKUI) on Monday-Friday (22-26/05). The training aimed to strengthen cooperation networks with more than 13 international universities from various countries, including Turkiye, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, Poland, and the Philippines.
This training and workshop was held in an offline format while adhering to the health protocols. The participants were present in person at the Institut Teknologi Surabaya to establish good working relationships. In addition, the program also invited presenters from various countries who shared their knowledge and experience through the zoom application platform.
Faujia Umasugi, UMMU representative, actively participated in this activity. She had the opportunity to interact and exchange information with the representatives of other international universities. In this forum, they discussed various issues related to academic cooperation, student exchanges, research, and joint development of study programs. The involvement in the KUI Training and Workshop provides plenty of opportunities for UMMU to expand its international cooperation network. With a stronger relationship between these international universities, it is hoped that mutual cooperation opportunities will be produced, both in terms of academic exchange and also research and learning development.
Through this participation, UMMU shows its full commitment to continuously improve the quality of education and international cooperation. It was expected that the cooperation will create a positive impact on academic development and increase the university’s reputation at the global level.
