Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponogoro (UMPO) welcomed 1,488 new students in the UMPO Orientation Week of New Students (Mastamaru) 2021, Monday (20/9). The orientation location of Mastamaru was in the Expotorium building. The agenda was to introduce the campus environment and life. Moreover, there were performances from various Students Activity Units (UKM).
Rector of UMPO, Dr. Happy Susanto MA, greeted and welcomed them to join the big family. He hoped that the students could introduce, learn, and contribute to UMPO. Then, he also introduced the rectorate, the dean, and the history of UMPO. The tagline “The Reyog University” aims to be a part of the best Islamic universities in the world.
On the first day of Mastamaru, there was Stadium General entitled “To develop characterized, excellence and Islamic Students.” Vice Governor of West Java, Emil Dardak, and General Chairman of DPP IMM (Muhammadiyah Students Association), Najih Prasetyo, attended the agenda. In addition, the Stadium General as an additional agenda was recorded on the official university site.
Mastamaru was held hybrid from 20 to 26 Agustus 2021, both online and offline. The theme of the agenda was “To contribute and achieve in Independent Learning towards Glorious Indonesia.” Later, besides following the agenda at the university level, they also welcome at the faculty level.
