UM Surakarta (UMS) Megalodon team, which competed in Kontes Robot SAR Indonesia ‘Indonesia SAR Robotic Contest’ (KRSRI) succeeded in achieving 1st place and Best Strategy in the design and engineering competition on robotics. The competition is conducted by Pusat Prestasi Nasional ‘National Achievement Center’, the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia announced on Saturday (25/9).

Megalodon team is a robotic team under Heru Supriyono, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. with his students, namely Wahyu Yuli Aldianto; Aron Widiatmoko; Untung Budi Utomo, and Aldi Yulianto, which are the students in the Electrical Engineering study program, UM Surakarta.

Wahyu Yuli Aldianto showed his gratitude and readiness to compete in the next level on October 12th, 2021. “We are so thankful and ready to compete in the next level,” Wahyu, the leader of the UMS Megalodon team, said.

Head of Student Affairs Bureau, Ir. Ahmad Kholid Al Ghofari, S.T., M.T. mentioned that the Student Affairs Bureau (Bagmawa) is proud of the Megalodon team’s achievement of getting 1st place and the best strategy team in the Indonesia Robotic Contest in the SAR division. It showed the result of effort and Robotic Research development which ran well. “Bagmawa UMS is so proud of this achievement.
