UMSIDA Student Won First Place of Photography Competition

Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (UMSIDA) student accomplished winning the prideful achievement. Nurul Farida, Psychology student, Psychology and Education Faculty (FPIP) UMSIDA won first place in Psy Photography for the best idea category on Thursday (4/11). The Scientific Competition of Psychology Students in Islamic University (KIMPSI) held this competition for the 11th edition.

Nurul Farida explained the competition mechanism from the beginning. After registration, she submitted her work and waited for the review. The result was announced via Zoom Meeting. “The registration form was in the web KIMPSI. It was in the online form and the announcement was also held online,” Farida said, as reported in the official UMSIDA site.

Farida explained that during the training process, she analyzed the suitable spot in capturing the photo. Afterwards, she trained to capture several photos and compared the various photos she has captured. To make proud of her surrounding people, including her parents, lecturers, and friends, was her motivation to join the competition. “I want to gain the knowledge and experience too,” she added. From capturing the photo process, she explored nature and new places. The photo she submitted was the portrait of a child who learns to read accompanied by a teacher in a beautiful atmosphere around a river.

In the future, Farida hoped that she could contribute to the following events. She expected to make UMSIDA proud. She also hoped her friends and other students could be encouraged and motivated to get other achievements.
