Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya (UM Surabaya) prepares college aid for its prospective students. This year, the scholarship programs that have already existed in the Covid-19 pandemic, reopened for 3 Billion in total. In a statement, the Vice-Rector III for Student, Innovation, and Human Resource Affairs, Ma’ruf Sya’ban mentioned the fund allocation as offering opportunities for broader communities to pursue higher education in Diploma or Bachelor programs.
“After the pandemic, we will face a period to raise again. Therefore, a chance to pursue higher education should be given to everyone,” said Ma’ruf.
The Head of Student Information and Admission Institute (LIPMB), Radius Setiyawan explained that the scholarship and prominent programs include Indonesian Smart College Card (KIP-K) or Bidikmisi Scholarship, Tahfidz, influencer, athlete, person with a disability, vocational alumni, nearby communities, dhuafa, applicant by invitation, Ma’had Umar bin Al-Khattab program, and Ready To Work Student (KBK) program.
“For submitting a program, the prospective student should follow the selection process and meet requirements on the internal campus,” said Radius. According to him, the prominent program awardees would also experience a special upbuilding program from the Student, Alumni, and Innovation Bureau (BAKAI).
“The UM Surabaya scholarship registration has already opened for its third batch from the first July to 31st August. The registration will be closed when the quota and conditions of the scholarship have been completed,” said Radius. He also stated that UM Surabaya’s official site provides further information for prospective students to understand more about these college aid programs.
