The community service of the Institute for Economic Science (STIE) Muhammadiyah Jakarta held training in Cihanjawar Village on Saturday (4/9) and Sunday (5/9). Cihanjawar Village has a philanthropic agency for zakat, infaq, sadaqah (LAZIS), which has unsolved problems.
The organizational problem in the philanthropic agency was unable to reach the target of zakat assistance collection because of inefficient management. Meanwhile, the Cihanjawar community has a great potency to pay zakat. Seeing this condition, the community service team from STIE Muhammadiyah Jakarta fosters Cihanjawar Village. It aimed to the zakat collection management collaborate to the community service.
Nova Rini SE, MSi, the lecturer and committee chairwoman of the community service, explained that the schedule was not limited to the training, as reported on STIE Muhammadiyah Jakarta site. “The agenda was not only to conduct a training. But we also foster the Cihanjawar Village government to manage the LAZIS to be a professional and accountable agency,” he said. The training resource persons were the religious figures in the village accompanied by the STIE Muh Jakarta team, Nova Rini, Sutar, Ahmad Darda, and Bono Prambudi. The village government attended the training to organize the zakat, infaq, and sadaqah agency in Cihanjawar.
The local government of Cihanjawar Village, Bojong District, Purwakarta Regency, who becomes the community service partner, explained that they were very grateful with the schedule. The assistance of STIE Muhammadiyah Jakarta was the knowledge and comprehension improvement of LAZIS management to be professional and accountable. It becomes the assistance of the village government to manage LAZIS in Cihanjawar.
