Field Work Training of Unamin Set 135 Planting Sites

Students of Agriculture Faculty (Faperta) Universitas Muhammadiyah Sorong (UNAMIN) succeed in socializing and establishing a community activities database in the educational forest of UNHAS. It was a statement from the Dean of Agriculture Faculty of Universitas Hasanudin (Unhas) Makassar, Dr A Mujetahid M, SHut, MP, for closing Unamin students’ fieldwork program in the Hall of Forestry Faculty UNHAS, Friday (04/02).

“In conducting Field Work Training (PKL), all students in carrying out activities were assisted by lecturers and senior students. From this program, they can set 135 planting sites organized by the educational forest UNHAS. It is inseparable from Unamin students’ role and assistance,” said Dr A Mujetahid.

The Dean of Agriculture Faculty of UNAMIN, Zulkarnain Sangadji SP MSi appreciated the Dean of Agriculture Faculty of UNHAS and various parties supported Unamin students in conducting student exchange of Independent Learning and Independent Campus (MBKM) and their collaborative program. “Thank you for accepting our students in this program, developing and educating when they were here. We are ready to collaborate with the Forestry Faculty UNHAS in short,” said Zulkarnain.

On this occasion, the Head of Educational Forest UNHAS, Ir Nasri, SHut, IPP, mentioned the series of Unamin students’ activities in the PKL program. It comprised introductory briefing, tree planting, laboratory introduction, plant identification and inventory.

Moreover, Nasri explained that the PKL students learned to organize data using smartphones and create community activities databases in the Educational Forest UNHAS. “Thanks to Universitas Muhammadiyah Sorong students for the assistance and participation in resulting a database of community activities,” said Nasri. The agenda was closed by the hand-over procession of souvenirs by the Dean of Agriculture Faculty of UNAMIN to the Dean of Forestry Faculty UNHAS, also take a photograph.
