Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang (UNIMMA) held the inauguration for the Rector of UNIMMA, Dr Lilik Andriyani SE MSi Saturday (30/10) in Campus I UNIMMA Auditorium. According to the Decree of Muhammadiyah Central Board Number 1777/KEP/I.0/D/2021 about the Rector Appointment of Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang 2020-2024 as Interim Replacement. Muhammadiyah Central Board, Muhammadiyah Province Board of Central Java, Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah Regional Board in Kedu attended the inauguration. Magelang Mayor, Magelang Regent, and Communication Forum of Regional Government (Forkompida) Magelang, and Higher Education Leaders in Kedu and Yogyakarta.

Dr. Lilik becomes the first female rector of UNIMMA to replace the previous rector, Dr. Suliswiyadi MAg, who passed away last year. In her remarks, she stated that she would try her best to carry out the mandate and was responsible for taking charge in UNIMMA. “In togetherness, we will become a solid super team. In synergy, I hope what we aspire to can be realized,” she said, as reported on the official UNIMMA site. Afterwards, the Muhammadiyah Council for Higher Education, Research, and Development (CHERD), Prof Lincolin Arsyad MSc Ph.D., performed the procession of the Rector inauguration. In his remarks, Prof Masrukhi MPd, as Muhammadiyah Province Board (PWM) of Central Java representative, congratulated and hoped for success in the following period as rector. “I hope, with Allah’s grace and permission, Mrs. Lilik will gain the ease in carrying out the mandate in UNIMMA. PWM of Central Java also expected that the campus would be a da’wah place in the Magelang environment,” he said.
