STKIP Muh Sampit Student Won The Best Champion III of National Language Ambassador

Sandy Ramadhan, STKIP Muh Sampit student, won the Best Champion III of National Language Ambassador held in Mercure Hotel, Ancol, Jakarta. Previously, Sandy was named the second-best participant of Central Kalimantan Language Ambassador in 2020. Then, he was chosen directly by the Head of Balai Bahasa Central Kalimantan to follow the 2021 national competition. “Alhamdulillah, because of the supports from campus and surrounding environment, I, who previously represented the campus to join the Language Ambassador in the Province level, can give the best result,” Sandy said.

Sandy confessed the preparation to join the contest has been already worked on since May 2021. All initial drafts for the linguistic activities, such as the talent show and others, have been prepared well. Undoubtedly, to implement the preparation, Sandy should be in Palangka Raya undergoing quarantine to make ready. “Because I am a last-year student, I should finish the final assignment (skripsi) first, before I go to the quarantine in Balai Bahasa Central Kalimantan,” he said.

He followed several pieces of training in quarantine, including personalities class, linguistic class, and talent show preparation. “As the program, we develop the Bajakah application (Belajar Bahasa Indonesia melalui Pesona Kalimantan Tengah), which consisted of Indonesia Language Learning for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) which contains Indonesia language combined with Central Kalimantan cultures,” he explained, as reported in matakalteng.com, Monday (01/11).

The National Best Champion III achieved by Sandy and his partner was a new history for Central Kalimantan. In addition, the Central Kalimantan delegations were the only provinces requested to perform the talent show on the awarding night repeatedly. “We performed talent show of Dayak dance in Central Kalimantan version as the combination Babukung and Dadas dance,” he said. In the end, Sandy mentioned his plan to keep learning and contribute to linguistic activities. “We will continue the ongoing activities and collaborate with Language Ambassador Association of Central Kalimantan and all 2021 National Language Ambassadors,” Sandy concluded.  [] STKIP Muh Sampit / Diktilitbang
