The achievements were received by Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) and Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) becomes World Top Islamic Universities in 2021 uniRank University Ranking of October 2021 edition.

Three MHEIs belong to the big ten of the world’s best universities which UMS placed in third place, UMM in sixth place, and UMY in eighth place.
