UML Workshop for Grant Proposal Preparation

Universitas Muhammadiyah Lampung lecturers followed the Workshop to assist the Grant Proposal Preparation Wednesday (15/9). The workshop was a program from the Institute for Higher Education Service (LLDIKTI) Regional II and was held for two days until Thursday (16/9). It was a part of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP3M) Program. The workshop was held in the 3rd-floor Auditorium of KH Ahmad Dahlan on the first Campus UM Lampung.

The speakers who presented were, first, Sri Waluyo PhD from Universitas Lampung.; second, Dr Agus Sutanto from Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro; and third, Parwito MP from Bengkulu. Moreover, the Vice-Rector II UM Lampung, Emy Sri Purwani MSi; the workshop organizer, H Marzuki SE MM; the Head of LP3M UM Lampung, Dr Mardiana and team; and UML lecturers.

Rector of UM Lampung, Dr Dalman, hoped the workshop could improve the participants’ knowledge in research and community service programs. “Consequently, the research grants of UM Lampung lecturers will improve,” he said. Afterwards, he also described the Dikti research grant schemes. The schemes include the national competitive scheme, decentralization scheme, and categorization research scheme by assignment.

On this occasion, Head of LLDIKTI Regional II, Prof Yuliyansyah, was delegated by Head of Student Affairs Division, Sunarto SH MSi opened the agenda. In his remarks, Sunarto expressed his gratitude to the Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Lampung and his team for conducting this workshop in the university. Afterwards, he appreciated the resource persons who attended the meeting and provided research details in the workshop.

In the workshop, the participant got tips for preparing the good and right research proposal to receive the grant. Moreover, the participant was also informed about several most common mistakes in the proposal submission. Sunarto explained that the workshop became a strategic plan to increase the dedication performance of the lecturers. “I hope the lecturers have a strong commitment to submit the research proposal in 2021,” he concluded.
