Three-hundred and fifty-seven students of Student Study Service (KKN) Batch XXXI of Universitas Muhammadiyah Luwuk Banggai (UMLB) officially served to their respective locations after they followed a briefing in the National Committee for Youth (KNPI) Building, Sunday (06/02). The release procession of the students has officially been conducted by the Rector of UMLB, Sutrisno K Djawa SE, MM. Sahraen Sibay, the Secretary of Daily Advisory Board (BPH), the Vice-Rector III, Agung K Djibran, the Head of Institute for Research and Community Service (LP3M), Risno Mina, the Dean of Economic and Business Faculty, Wahyudin Rahman, the Vice-Deans, and the field supervisors also attended the procession.
The Rector of UMLB explained that the participants become the green campus ambassador in the community. The students were expected to provide community welfare. “Knowledge and education from the classroom should be actualized in the real world, through this KKN program,” he said.
He also prompted students to realize their role as agents of change. So that the students would be able to motivate the community in their respective locations. The students also have a responsibility to maintain a good name for UMLB. “If the higher education institutions, in general, have tri dharma (three values). However, Muhammadiyah-’Aisyiyah Higher Education Institutions (MHEIs) have catur dharma (four values) that include additional value to become our character in Islamic and Muhammadiyah Studies (AIK) value. So our students could have an approach in the community by their religious identity,” he said.
