Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (Umsida) released 175 graduates of Diploma-I Program in Muhammadiyah Studies, Monday (05/04). Located in Sae Inn Hotel, Kendal, the graduates comprised the Muhammadiyah school teachers, Muhammadiyah service staff, Muhammadiyah autonomous organization, and Muhammadiyah Regional Board of Kendal.
The graduation of the 11th and 12th batch was attended by the Rector of Umsida, Dr Hidayatulloh MSi, and the Dean of Islamic Studies Faculty (FAI) Umsida, Dr Istikomah, MAg. After the procession, Dr Hidayatulloh expressed her expectation for the graduates. “Congratulations to the graduates. I hope you all can apply the knowledge in the place you devoted Muhammadiyah services,” said Istikomah, MAg.
Two batches were conducted due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and a strict health protocol should be applied. Moreover, the significant number of graduates should be divided into two periods. In the first period for the 11th batch, seventy-four graduates were released by Umsida, and a hundred and one students were inaugurated in the 12th batch.
All inaugurated graduates have carried out the learning process in 4 months. The program collaborated with FAI UMSIDA with the Muhammadiyah Regional Board of Kendal. By the purpose to provide knowledge and perception about Muhammadiyah and internalize the Muhammadiyah ideology and understanding to all leaders in the organization, Muhammadiyah services, autonomous organization, lecturer, teacher, and cadres.
The Diploma-I program of Muhammadiyah Studies was firstly held in FAI Umsida in 2011. It was launched by Dr Hidayatulloh on 13 December 2015 in the Muhammadiyah Da’wah Center of Kendal, in collaboration with Muhammadiyah Province Board in East Java. The program’s primary target was all leaders and staff in Muhammadiyah services in education, health, and other services in 38 regencies in East Java.
