UNIMUDA Sorong Physical Education Study Program Developed Papua Football

Universitas Pendidikan Muhammadiyah Sorong sent off two Papuan pride youths last Thursday (2/9). The two youths will follow the Central Training Program in Denpasar, Bali. It was a part of Universitas Pendidikan Muhammadiyah Sorong (UNIMUDA Sorong) effort to realize Papuan youth dreams: a professional football player.

The discharge was attended by the Rector of UNIMUDA Sorong, Dr. Rustamadji, M.Si. “This remarkable program is to develop Papuan youths’ soft skills in Sorong regency. Later, the youths’ transfer will be covered by the campus. During the training, they still undergo the study process. In the implementation, we still support them,” he said.

The Dean of Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP), Nursalim, M.Pd., presented. He continued that after graduating from school, Paul and Soni will continue in UNIMUDA Sorong with a scholarship. In addition, the Head of Physical Education Study Program also presented. The SSB ASKATALA Management of UNIMUDA Sorong also attended the discharge ceremony. Moreover, the best players in SSB ASKATALA U15, Lapex Paul and Soni Maas followed the Central Training Program at Al-Fatih Academy, Denpasar, Bali.

Through this agenda, later, both of them will join the Bali United football club U15. The program was the partnership program between SSB ASKATALA and Al Fatih Academy Denpasar, Bali. The program is the final development under the auspices of the Physical Education Study Program of UNIMUDA Sorong. Besides the development, SSB ASKATALA will also transfer the talented players to the professional agency for later joining into several professional clubs.
