Two years ago, a lot of certificate forgery caused concern to all science and educational parties. Therefore, an Electronic Certificate Verification System to prevent certificate forgery in higher education institutions. That was the statement from Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat as the Rector of Unisa Yogyakarta in her speech on the Socialization of National Certificate Numbering (PIN) Application Policy and the Electronic Certificate Verification System (SIVIL) in Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta campus Friday (22/10).
The agenda was conducted by the Directorate-General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology for the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. It was held according to increase PIN and SIVIL services in higher education institutions based on the Directorate of Learning and Students Affairs provision.
Bhimo Widyo Andoko, S.H., M.H., as Head of LLDIKTI V DIY Ad Interim, mentioned the certificate forgery cases when he was in Public Relations of the Ministry that made the Ministry alarm bells start to ring. Therefore, the Ministry was always being ready to protect the students in that concern.
