Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) launched and socialized MySpada UMS on Thursday (01/09) online through Zoom Meeting. The Head of the e-Learning division, Husni Thamrin S.T., M.T., Ph.D. mentioned that MySpada is an e-Learning facility to plan, implement, and assess learning processes, familiarly known as Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS has functions to provide digital learning sources and digital learning activities.

In the socialization, Husni also explained that LMS of MySpada UM Surakarta was developed in various ways to ease users in operating LMS. “It has various features to ease users in operating LMS because the system should be integrated by academic system. The students will also experience the easier learning process in accessing materials by their lecturers,” Husni said.

UMS has two OpenLearning LMS, including MyEdu on Myedu.ums.ac.id and MySpada on Myspada.ums.ac.id. MySpada LMS system has various advantages, especially since it is also connected with Spada Indonesia and recorded in online learning activities.

Vice Rector I for Academics, Research, Community Service, Publication, and Intellectual Property affairs, Prof. Dr. Drs. Harun Joko Prayitno, S.E., M.Hum explained that the improvement of learning process quality could be achieved from the facilities in UM Surakarta. This application could support the students to graduate on time and elevate the students’ achievement in their learning process. “The LMS development is one of our targets to elevate students to graduate on time and improve the learning achievement in developing UMS quality and reputation in academics through student service,” he said.
