UMMI Webinar Introduces Homecare and Complementary Therapy Application

Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi (UMMI) held an online webinar on Saturday (28/08). The webinar was a series of webinars and Expert Lectures from the Nursing Department to elevate the academic condition at UMMI. It was organized by the Diploma program of the Nursing Department UMMI. The webinar raised the theme “Homecare Application through Family Center Nursing approach for the Family Reliance in Health”. Afterward, the Expert Lectures discussed Complementary Therapy in holistic nursing practice.

In addition, besides elevating the academic condition, the webinar has another target. It aimed to realize a program of the Diploma program of the Nursing Department UMMI and the Nursing Student Association. The students as participants also received varied useful materials from these programs.

The Head of the Diploma program in the Nursing Department, Erna Safariah MKep mentioned the background of the programs. According to her, the Webinar and Expert Lectures could improve students’ competencies due to the updated topic. The homecare and the complementary topic were compatible with the curriculum of the Diploma program in the Nursing Department. “Homecare and complementary therapy for families has become a prominent program in the Diploma program in the Nursing Department UMMI,” she said, as reported on the official site of UMMI.

As an output, she also expected that after receiving the presentation, the students could apply home care and complementary therapy.
