Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) agreed to collaborate by signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) last Thursday (22/04). The collaboration was between Unimus and the Council for Elementary and Secondary Education of Muhammadiyah Province Board Central Java (Dikdasmen PWM Jateng). The seventh-floor Auditorium of Medical Faculty Unimus became the location of the signing procession.

In the agenda, the Rector of UNIMUS, Prof. Dr. Masrukhi, MPd, attended the signing of the MoU. Also, the Chairman of Majelis Dikdasmen PWM Jateng attended this agenda. He expected that the collaboration would be a medium for teacher quality improvement in carrying out the education practice. “Shortly, Muhammadiyah education institutions in Central java can cooperate with all higher education institutions in Central Java, not only for Unimus,” he added as reported on the official Unimus site.

Afterwards, the four faculties in Unimus with fifty Muhammadiyah schools in Central java signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). These four faculties comprise Mathematics and Natural Science Faculty (FMIPA), Language and Foreign Culture Faculty (FBBA), Economics Faculty, and Engineering Faculty. The dean of each faculty signed the MoA delegated by Dr. Eny Winaryati, M.Pd.; Muhimatul Ifadah, M.Pd.; Dr. Haerudin, M.Si.; dan Dr. RM. Bagus Irawan, S.T., M.Si., IPM.

The signing procession was a deal to increase and develop the researches between Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang and Muhammadiyah schools in Central Java. Moreover, the social service was the primary point in the agreement. To follow up this signing procession, Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang and Muhammadiyah schools in Central Java can improve learning quality through lesson study. Both signing processions aimed to support Independent learning, Independent campus implementation.
