The Bachelor of Midwifery and Midwifery Professional Education Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes) Unisa Bandung has just received a benchmarking visit from STIKes Muhammadiyah Ciamis as the plan of STIKes Muhammadiyah Ciamis which will establish a Bachelor of Midwifery and Midwifery Professional Education Program in 2022/2023.
This visit was directly received by the Vice Chancellor I, as well as the boards of FIKes Dean and the Midwifery Bachelor Program and Midwife Professional Education, located at Campus 1 Unisa Bandung, Monday (10/04).
The Chairperson of STIKes Muhammadiyah Ciamis, Nurhidayat, SKM, MM mentioned that the purpose of STIKes Muhammadiyah Ciamis’ visit to Unisa Bandung was to learn more about the establishment of Bachelor of Midwifery study program.
“We hope that through this visit, we can share information from filling out documents, preparing the visitation to assessment during the establishment process for Bachelor of Midwifery study program,” he said in his remarks, Monday (10/04).
Responding to this, Vice Rector I Unisa Bandung, Dr. Sitti Syabariyah, S.KpMS.Biomed warmly welcomed the visit of the team from STIKes Muh Ciamis. In her remarks, Sitti briefly explained the establishment process of the Bachelor of Midwifery study program and Midwifery Professional Education at Unisa Bandung.
“The establishment process of a study program has very strict criteria & essential prerequisites. All criteria must be met, Alhamdulillah Midwifery study program in Unisa Bandung has also been accredited,” she said.
Sitti also explained that the establishment and accreditation of Bachelor of Midwifery and Midwifery Professional Education has no difference because it has the same criteria and in 2022, the establishment of a new study program has been delegated from Board of National Accreditation for Higher Education (BAN-PT) to Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes).
