Universitas Siber Muhammadiyah (Universitas SiberMu) officially received the operational permit from the Decree of Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Number 430/E/0/2021, Thursday (30/09). Universitas SiberMu previously obtained the principal permit after undergoing a virtual field evaluation by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia at MOU Campus on HOS Cokroaminoto Street, Wirobrajan, last March.

Chairman of Daily Advisory Board (BPH), Prof. Chairil Anwar, also appreciated Universitas SiberMu’s achievement. “After going through a long and tense journey, SiberMu finally received the operational permit. Alhamdulillah, I hope it will strengthen Muhammadiyah in education, science, and modern technology. We ask for support from all parties,” he explained.

He continued that SiberMu will prepare the management and conduct the socialization to the broader communities in the near future. “In the future, we will prepare for good and progressive governance. As well as socializing it to the public, Muhammadiyah-’Aisyiyah Higher Education Institutions (PTMA), and prospective students by carrying the tagline’ Learning in the whole time without limits,” concluded Deputy Chair of Muhammadiyah Diktilitbang Council.

Previously, Muhammad Sayuti, Secretary of Muhammadiyah Diktilitbang Council, mentioned that the paramount goal of the SiberMu establishment is to expand access to Higher Education both at home and abroad at a more affordable cost. “In addition to being inexpensive and affordable, Universitas SiberMu is also expected to be able to reach external areas so as to encourage the expansion of access to education massively and of course strengthen other PTMA campuses as well,” he explained.
