IAIM Sinjai Encourages Students to Overcome The Challenges of Education System

IAIM Sinjai (08/09)- The Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK) of the Muhammadiyah Islamic Institute (IAIM) Sinjai held an Inaugural Lecture in Odd Semester of Academic Year 2021/2022 at the H.M Amir Said Auditorium IAIM, Wednesday (08/09).

H. Roslan, S.Ag., M.Pd.I. as the Section Chief of the Islamic Education, Ministry of Religious Affairs in Sinjai, said that the current educational resources were not reliable enough to support the achievement of educational goals and targets effectively. It was one of the challenges in the learning system, which should be more focused on, “All components have to make changes and adjustments in the national education system to support the education process more democratic and encourage the participation of the community, including students,” he continued.

The Dean of FTIK IAIM Sinjai, Takdir, M.Pd.I. added that students as academicians should handle the opportunities and challenges of Islamic education implementation in the present times as the topic raised in this inaugural lecture, “The Opportunities and Challenges of Islamic Education Implementation in the New Normal Era.”

“Currently, we are facing the challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, students should be able to overcome these challenges by looking at the opportunities that exist for educational development,” he explained.

Also attended were lecturers and the academic community and hundreds of FTIK students from the Study Programs of Islamic Education, Arabic Language Education, Islamic School Teacher Education, Mathematics Education, and English Language Education.
