Involving 90 Staff and Lecturers, UMMU Organizes LMT

Leadership Management Training (LMT) was successfully held by Universitas Muhammadiyah Maluku Utara (UMMU) at the Hajj Dormitory involving 90 participants from lecturers and employees. The training lasted for four days, from February 16 to 19, 2023.

The training presents seven Instructors of Muhammadiyah Central Board who are members of the Muhammadiyah Council for Higher Education Research and Development (CHERD), namely Dr. Muhammad Samsudin, M.Pd., Deputy Secretary of CHERD; M. Adam Jerusalem, M.T., Ph.D., Deputy Secretary of CHERD; Ahmad Muttaqin, M.Ag., M.A., Ph.D. Treasurer of CHERD; Muh Mudzakkir, M.A., Ph.D., Lecturer of Sociology Study Program, Universitas Negeri Surabaya; Mr. Ghoffar Ismail, M.A., Lecturer of Islamic Studies, UMY and Prof. Dr. Irwan Akib, M.Pd., Chairman of Education, Culture, and Sports of Muhammadiyah Central Board.

As mentioned directly by the Rector in his remarks at the opening ceremony, it aimed to regulate, maintain and stabilize leadership consistency in teaching staff, especially lecturers. “The training will be organized routinely as before, moreover, we are part of Muhammadiyah cadres who should understand our duties and functions as a cadre,” said the Rector of UMMU.

The agenda, which was opened with the night prayers and followed by outbound activities then the materials and FGD lasted for four days, was a program from the Muhammadiyah Central Board to foster lecturers and employees not only as workers but also as Muhammadiyah cadres.
