In 2022, Universitas Muhammadiyah PROF. DR. HAMKA (Uhamka) was ranked 22nd best Islamic university in the world. Currently, Uhamka has been named as the 1st best Islamic university in Indonesia and the 9th in the world. It is certainly a great achievement as a private university belonging to the world’s largest Islamic organization, Muhammadiyah.

Responding to Uhamka’s achievements, Prof. Gunawan Suryoputro as the Rector of Uhamka expressed his deep gratitude for the extraordinary achievements of Uhamka. He added these achievements can be achieved by the cooperation, hard work, and smart work from Uhamka’s big family. “Alhamdulillah, we are grateful that Uhamka has a proven record of excellence by achieving the 9th rank as the best Islamic campus in the world and the 1st rank of Indonesia’s best Islamic campus based on 4ICU 2023,” said Prof. Gunawan.

Prof. Gunawan also hoped that through Uhamka’s infinite number of achievements, it would not make the Uhamka family complacent. Because maintaining the achievements that have been achieved would not be easy and require more hard work to improve other achievements. “I hope that this significant ranking and excellent accreditation can strengthen Uhamka’s commitment to realizing the vision as a Prophetic Teaching University 2024 and Prophetic Entrepreneurial University 2045,” added Prof. Gunawan.

In addition, the Rector of Uhamka also mentioned “Currently, Uhamka as an educational service owned by Muhammadiyah applied campus internationalization. It is in line with Muhammadiyah’s vision in enlightening the universe. The movement and da’wah that was built should be spread around the world. We, in education sector, will participate in the Muhammadiyah Central Board’s vision, “said Prof. Gunawan.
