Universitas Muhammadiyah Papua (UM Papua) held the signing of MoU with the Indonesian Bureau of Logistics (Bulog) Regional Office of Papua and West Papua in the local campus, Thursday (8/9). The Rector of UM Papua, Prof. Dr. H.R. Partino, M.Pd accepted and appreciated the collaboration. “In short, the campus will be a Muhammadiyah service that widens the business of retail service which provides the primary needs for lecturers, students, and surrounding communities by the competitive price,” he said.
The collaboration was also expected to have mutual cooperation for both parties, such as the entrepreneur internship program for the students and many others. “Currently, we have an Entrepreneur Department which focussed on the graduates competence in entrepreneurship,” he continued.
Moreover, the Head of Bulog Regional Office of Papua and West Papua, Sopran Kennedy, expressed his gratitude to Universitas Muhamadiyah Papua for collaborating in the network development with Bulog to provide the primary needs to the academic civitas. “Bulog, recently, not only provides the rice for underprivileged persons (raskin) but also provides the food needs with the competitive quality and price in the market,” he concluded.
