Universitas Muhammadiyah Kudus (UMKU) distributed zakat (alms) to 3.010 mustahiq (beneficiaries) on Wednesday (20/04). The Rector of UMKU, Rusnoto SKM MKes (Epid), gave the alms and distributed groceries in the Multipurpose Hall of UMKU. It is located on Ganesha Street 1, Purwosari, Kudus. The beneficiaries comprised teachers and staff of Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah services (AUM) and Muhammadiyah Council for Primary and Secondary Education in Kudus regency. On this occasion, Daily Advisory Board, Drs H Sajad MPD attended the distribution. In addition, the Chairman of the Islamic and Muhammadiyah Studies Body (BSIK), lecturers, and education staff at UMKU also witnessed the procession.
Rusnoto expressed his gratitude for the distribution. “Through staff alms, UMKU can distribute the alms to all Muhammadiyah-’Aisyiyah Branch Board. It started from the branch board, regional and province board, Muhammadiyah services, and autonomous organization (Ortom). Also, the alms and groceries were given to Muhammadiyah mosque boards in Kudus and surrounding. It includes the Muhammadiyah Province Board of Central Java,” he said. He also invited all beneficiaries to be grateful for the blessing of Allah SWT. Later, he also expected UMKU could contribute to the Branch boards’ program. It aimed to create UMKU pioneering in beneficial for the wider community.
Over one thousand two hundred fifty alms and groceries were distributed UM Kudus to the teachers and staff in Muhammadiyah-’Aisyiyah services, including Daycare Center (TPA), ‘Aisyiyah Kindergarten (TK ABA), Playgroup (KB), Quranic Education (TPQ), Islamic Education institutions (Madin), and boarding schools. Afterward, 1.755 alms and groceries were distributed to the Muhammadiyah Province Board of Central Java. The distribution went smoothly by implementing strict health protocols.
