Teacher Profession Program (PPG) of Faculty Teacher Training and Education Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (FKIP UMS) underwent the field accreditation assessment online on Friday-Saturday (26-27/02). The Rector of UMS, Prof. Dr. Sofyan Anif, MSi, explained that the accreditation assessment was the first assessment. “Because PPG involved in the new profession program, so currently, it is its first accreditation,” he said.

As a professor in the education field, Prof. Dr. Sofyan Anif, MSi, was so excited to develop the teacher profession program established in the last 2018. “It should be well developed,” he said. In his opinion, the PPG became the way to create excellent and professional teachers. The alumni, later, could be worked in schools to build students’ good character.

The Head of Study Program of PPG UMS, Siti Zuhriah Ariatmi, MHum added the accreditation for the first time for PPG; they prepared it for two days. She and her teams underwent the field assessment procession divided into several sessions, starting from the university session and the faculty and study program session.

Zuhriah expected that the accreditation would improve the quality and performance of the Teacher Profession Program (PPG) in Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta that ensued in an excellent result. (Bangkit N / Public Relation)
