Unismuh Makassar students got the International achievement on the International Article Writing Contest held by International Waqaf Ilmu Nusantara Library of Universitas Sains Malaysia. The competition was followed by the higher education institutions from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The achievement winners were Nasmiati, who won the 3rd place/Bronze Award; Haspina Hasan and Kaharuddin, who won the Sociolinguistic theme competition; Hasnah and Andi Asywid Nur won the Labour theme competition.
The titles of three articles from the winners “Perubahan Perilaku Sosial Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) di Desa Mattirowalie, Kecamatan Tanete Riaja, Kabupaten Barru” by Nasmiati, “Multilingual Lanskap Linguistik di Museum La Galigo Fort, Rotterdam” by Haspina Hasan and Kaharuddin, in addition, “Anak Pekerja Migran Indonesia: Tinjauan Sosiologi Pendidikan” by Hasnah and Andi Asywid Nur. The writers were researchers from the Magister Program of Sociology Education, Unismuh Makassar.
“Alhamdulillah, a gratitude. Even though the Magister Program of Sociology Education was newly opened this year, we already have international achievement,” said Kaharuddin, The Head of the Magister Program of Sociology Education Unismuh Makassar, as recorded on Thursday (9/9) interview on the official Unismuh Makassar site.
