Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Surakarta (Aiska) choir bagged silver national achievement. The choir team, Parasaka team, was joined Virtual Choir Competition Festival by the Association of Indonesia Muhammad-’Aisyiyah Midwifery Science Institutions. The competition aimed to increase the creativity and healthy competitiveness among the students of Muhammad- ’Aisyiyah Midwifery Science Institutions all over Indonesia.
Because of the pandemic, the competition was held online. Implementation of the match was conducted in April, May, and June 2021. The choir competition was attended by talented students from Muhammadiyah-’Aisyiyah Higher Education Institutions (PTMA) in Indonesia. Therefore, the choir teams came from the private campus under Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah management.
The competition had the mandatory songs that should be sung, including “Sang Surya”, which became the Muhammadiyah anthem, and “Aisyiyah anthem”. Lastly, the jury would decide winners in several categories. These included the best performance, favourite video category, and gold, silver, and bronze ranking. In addition, Parasaka team from Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Surakarta got the silver rank as the second place.
Afterwards, last Wednesday (30/5), they announced the winner through the Jury’s Decision Letter Number 01/KPTSN/LOMBA.AIPKEMA/VI/2021 entitled “The Virtual Choir Winner Decision of AIPKEMA 2021”.
