Muhammadiyah Central Board office became the launching location of Universitas Siber Muhammadiyah ‘Muhammadiyah Cyber University’, Wednesday (6/10). The agenda was also held online and broadcasted in Muhammadiyah Channel Youtube account.
The first agenda was the informational presentation about Universitas Siber Muhammadiyah (Universitas SiberMu) by Dr. Bambang Riyanta, M.T., Rector of Universitas SiberMu. Dr. Bambang explained the establishment process, learning scheme, and information related to Universitas SiberMu. “At the beginning, the ideas of Universitas SiberMu establishment had become an initiative before the pandemic, as an anticipation of the educational orientation by prospective students,” he said.
As the second agenda, recitation of the Decree of Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology about Universitas SiberMu operational permit by Zanuar Fahruzi, S.T., The External Quality Development LLDIKTI Regional V, DIY. Moreover, there was the signing of the official record by President of Muhammadiyah Central Board, Prof Dr Haedar Nashir MSi; Chairman of Muhammadiyah Diktilitbang Council, Prof Lincoln Arsyad MSi PhD; Chairman of Daily Advisory Board Universitas Siber Muhammadiyah, Prof Dr Chairil Anwar MSc; Head of LLDIKTI V DIY Ad Interim, Bhimo Widyo Andoko SH MH; and Head of Administration, Taufiqurrahman SE.

Furthermore, the Head of LLDIKTI V DIY Ad Interim, Bhimo Widyo Andoko SH MH delivered his speech. “Universitas Siber Muhammadiyah establishment becomes a way to reach people in the 3T (frontier, outermost, underdeveloped) area through educational access,” he said.
The main agenda was the speech and official launching of the Universitas SiberMu by Prof. Dr. H Haedar Nasir M.Si. He said that Universitas SiberMu would be managed in good quality. “Because this is evidence that Muhammadiyah continuously be at the forefront in realizing the developed, qualified, and progressive modern institutions,” he explained.
