Two hundred students of the Institute for Technology and Science (ITS) PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta were inaugurated on Thursday (28/10) in Harris Hotel Surakarta. The graduates originated from the Nutrition Science Bachelor program, Nursery Diploma-III program, and Midwifery Diploma-III program. A hundred and five graduates achieved cumlaude predicate.
The three best students from each study program received scholarships symbolically from LazisMu Muhammadiyah Regional Board of Surakarta. Afterwards, the two best students from Diploma-III programs were awarded scholarships from Muammalat and Jateng Banks.
The Head of Institute for Higher Education Service (LLDIKTI) Regional VI Central Java, Prof Dr Ir Muhammad Zainuri DEA attended the inauguration procession. Afterwards, Weni Hastuti, the Rector of ITS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta congratulated to all graduates. “I believe that the academic achievement from the hard work, persistence, and perseverance. Don’t forget the moral support from family and relatives,” he said as reported on the official ITS PKU Muh Surakarta.
Afterwards, Teguh Wahyudi, Public Relation of ITS PKU Muh Surakarta explained that the inauguration was conducted with a strict health protocol. Two hundred graduates were required to wear masks and handscoon. Moreover, all graduates and invited guests also have been required to take antigen swabs and install Peduli Lindungi as the conditions to attend. Muhammadiyah Covid-19 Command Center (MCCC) also supported ITS PKU Muh Surakarta to tighten the health protocols.
