Postgraduate Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya (UM Surabaya) organized a research camp for its postgraduate lecturers with the tagline “One Lecturer, One Proposal” for two days on 13-14 August 2022 in Argo Mulia Villa, Prigen, Pasuruan, East Java.
The research camp called Riset Camp was followed by approximately 17 lecturers from three study programs comprised of Islamic Education, Indonesia Language and Literature Education (PBSI), and Sharia Economic Law (HES).
The camp was started with the opening ceremony by the Secretary to Director of Postgraduate Program, UM Surabaya, Dr Sholikhul Huda, M.Phil.I. From 17 proposals, it would be distributed to be submitted in research grant funding from the Ministry of Religion and Muhammadiyah research grant 2022. It was expected to be selected to get various research grants.
After the opening ceremony, it was continued by Dr Sulthon Amin, MM’s presentation of motivational materials to conduct research. He is the Chairman of the Daily Advisory Board (BPH) UM Surabaya and an Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneur. In his materials, he mentioned that to get research grants from the donor agencies, they should own the spirit of fastabiqul khoirot (vying in doing good deeds) and keep on trying to submit.
