To Develop Research, UMP Collaborated with France Institution

Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP) collaborated with several foreign agencies and institutions. The latest collaboration was with the Center for International Cooperation in Agricultural Research for Development (CIRAD), France.

The signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CIRAD France was located on the local campus and attended directly by the Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, Dr Jebul Suroso; the Head of International Affairs Bureau, Condro Nur Alim PhD; Prof Sisunandar; and several Deans, located in the CourtRoom, the 2nd floor, UMP Central building, Tuesday (20/04).

The Head of International Affairs Bureau, Condro Nur Alim PhD explained that CIRAD France is an institute of the French government for Agriculture. However, the collaboration was for Agriculture in general, not only for the Coconut Sport variety.

“UMP, by far, has collaborated in almost all regions in Asia, Europe, and Australia. We had approximately 160 MoUs and alhamdulillah, the majority of them has an active collaboration program and will be brokedown to Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in another agenda,” said Condro.

In detail, Condro also mentioned the collaboration with other countries comprising research, student exchange, publication, and community services.

“We expect that by various foreign institution collaborations, UMP will progress. WIth the internationalization program, it drives international reputation due to the international partners,” he said.

The Rector of UMP, Dr Jebul Suroso, explained that UMP continues to collaborate with the top universities in various countries, especially in elevating the education quality in UMP. “Through the collaboration, the academic quality will increase through various programs which have been collaborated with,” he concluded.
