The Physiotherapy Profession Program of the Faculty of Health Science (FIKes) Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (Unisa) Yogyakarta conducted the Inauguration and Physiotherapist Oath-Taking online on Saturday (27/03). The inauguration and oath-taking were followed by 225 physiotherapists on the 4th floor, Baroroh Baried Hall, Unisa Yogyakarta campus.
The students have attended the procession offline, which is limited to the representatives of the different religious views of the students, the religious figures, and invited guests from the Health Office of Yogyakarta and the Regional Board of Indonesian Physiotherapy Association (PDIFI) Yogyakarta.
In his speech, Ali Imron, MFis as the Dean of FIKes Unisa Yogyakarta explained that all inaugurated students have taken National Competency Test (UKOM) as the requirement to have a registration letter before undergoing the professional practice with an 81,3% pass rate.
“By the oath-taking, today, the Physiotherapy Profession Program inaugurated 550 physiotherapists. Alhamdulillah, they have served as Civil Servant, Industries, Private Hospitals, and mostly on the personal practice,” said Imron.
The Health Office (Dinkes) of Yogyakarta Province, on this occasion, was represented by the Secretary of the Dinkes, Dra Siti Badriah. She also explained that the physiotherapists had played essential roles in the pandemic including promotive, preventive, and health service.
The Rector of Unisa Yogyakarta, Warsiti, SKp, M Kep, SpMat prompted the physiotherapists to adapt to the pandemic condition, technology development, and working world challenges.
“I believe that all of you can develop yourselves offering solutions, be the role model, and provide benefits for broader communities,” said Warsiti to the graduates.
