IAIM Sinjai Launched Gender, Children, and Religious Moderation Center

The Institute for Gender, Children, and Religious Moderation in Institute for Islamic Studies Muhammadiyah (IAIM) Sinjai officially launched on Tuesday (31/08). The launch invited the Spokesperson of the President of Indonesia/Presidential Special Staff of Communication Division, Dr. M Fadjroel Rachman, and the Assistant III of Sinjai Local Government. The Daily Advisory Board (BPH) IAIM Sinjai, the Rector, the Head of Gender Institute, and Local Government Communication Forum (Forkopimda) Sinjai Region also accompanied.

Fadjroel Rachman explained that his presence was a form of human resources development support in IAIM Sinjai. He mentioned that the Gender, Children, and Religious Moderation Center was a tremendous breakthrough. “Besides to strengthen the relationship, significant gratitude to be here to launch the new institute. I expected that the institute will become a medium to develop qualified human resources. The most important was I will convey this mandate to President Jokowi,” he said. He explained that this institute would make IAIM Sinjai a human resource development locomotive that can compete globally.

The Rector of IAIM Sinjai, Dr. Firdaus MAg, explained that the attendance of the Spokesperson of the Indonesian President as a distinguished guess as Firdaus said as an honor to get along with national figures on his campus. “I usually watched Mr. Fadjroel giving interesting arguments in TV broadcast.  Today, he join us here. It is an honor and prideful circumstance as Mr. Fadjroel presence here, in our campus,” Firdaus said, as reported on the official campus site.

In the launching of the new center in IAIM Sinjai, Fadjroel Rachman signed the official record. The event was witnessed by the Institute Head, Dr. Suriati, MSos which also becomes the Dean of Ushuluddin and Islamic Communication (FUKIS).
